The following is a general description of the project:
The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Installation of temporary utility services as indicated on the Contract Drawings and specified. 2. Installation of maintenance and protection of traffic operations and lighting sources as required to complete installation of improvements as shown on Drawings or as directed by Engineer in field. 3. Temporary bypass pumping or flow-through system installation for existing Cornelius overflow sewer. 4. Installation of temporary shoring and protection system as indicated in Contract documents. 5. Installation of temporary supports for existing utilities/sewers as indicated on the Contract drawings and specified. 6. Removal and disposal of excavated material to limits indicated on the Contract Drawings. 7. Sawcutting, removal and disposal of portions of existing CSO outfall to limits indicated on the Contract Drawings. 8. Construction of the new outfall/gate support structure including concrete, rebar, concrete forms, foundations, piping, etc. 9. Provide power to new equipment and install above-ground panel with integrated controls. 10. Installation of level sensor and instrumentation panel. 11. Installation of electric actuators. 12. Installation of greasing system. 13. Startup and testing of completed gate installations and electrical controls and actuators. 14. Coordination with Owner to assist as necessary with SCADA startup and testing to ensure backwater gates and Bird Island WWTP communicate and function as a complete system. Contractor will not be responsible for completion of SCADA integration work at Bird Island WWTP. 15. Grading, restoration, and miscellaneous site work. 16. Restoration of all disturbed areas and reopening of existing sewers and any other work for a complete, working installation.
